has easily become the most popular individual of all the 'boy
bands'. Even from his childhood days, the popular singer from
Memphis, Tennessee was performing. His first television appearance
was on Star Search, and then as in most of his younger days,
he sang country. His big break came in 1992 when he spent two
years in Orlando with Disney's Mickey Mouse Club. On MMC he
had the opportunity to showcase his talent with future bandmate
JC Chasez, Christina Aguilera, and Britney Spears. |

Hilary Duff was born on September 28th, 1987, in Houston, Texas.
The younger of two sisters, she is representative of her family's
knack for the entertainment business (her mother is a producer,
her sister a musician). It was during a ballet tour at the age
of 6 that Hilary realized that she wanted to become an actress. After a commercial appearance and much hard work, she landed
her first role, in the made-for-TV movie True Women. It was certainly
a mark of success for a 10-year-old.

Gwen Stefani was born in Orange County, California on October
3, 1969. As she was growing up she was strongly influenced by
"ska" and "punk" music. She grew up with
her Mom, Dad, two brothers(Eric, and Todd), and one sister,
Jill. When Gwen graduated from high school she attended
"Cal State Fullerton College". Her band "No Doubt" was started by her
brother Eric Stefani, and a friend of his John Spence in 1987.
Gwen joined later on as lead singer. Even later, Tony, Adrian,
and Tom joined the band.

| Kelly Brianne Clarkson was born on April 24, 1982, in the small
town of Burleson, Texas. Two factors contributed in setting
her on the path to stardom. First, the movie Jaws deterred her
from her childhood dream of becoming a marine biologist. Second,
a teacher at Pauline Hughes Middle School heard Clarkson singing
in the hallway, recognized her talent, and encouraged her to
join the choir. Thirteen years old at the time, Kelly was a
singing fiend from there on out. |

| Christina Aguilera's story is a Hollywood dream come true. The
daughter of a father in the military and a violinist/pianist mother
who toured Europe with the Youth Symphony Orchestra, this18-year-old

and New Jersey, before settling in Wexford, PA, a suburb of Pittsburgh.

'98, Eminem further made his name by dropping verses on indie
singles by artists like Shabaam Sahdeeq and OldWorlDisorder.

12" and Slim Shady EP, Eminem was a sensation.

Her parents, Terri and Pat, encouraged Stacy and her younger sister Dana to pursue careers in the entertainment industry. Kanye's mother, Dr. Donda West, worked as the Chair of the English Department at Chicago State University before retiring to serve as Kanye's manager. He was raised in an upper middle class background, attending Polaris High School in suburban Oak Lawn, Illinois. West attended Columbia College Chicago, but eventually dropped out.
